 Every taste reveals the artisanal craftsmanship of Pasticceria Pappalardo, a renowned brand known for its dedication to tradition. This recipe dates back to 1984, the year the company was founded, and continues to embody a legacy of quality and passion.

Through a journey of flavors, Pappalardo paste di mandorla enchant international palates, offering an extraordinary tasting experience that brings together tradition and artisanal excellence.

ABOUT US

Our story began on November 24, 1984, when Sebastiano Pappalardo (then 32 years old), after years of experience and passion in the Sicilian confectionery tradition, opened a small pastry laboratory in partnership with a well-known local pastry chef at Corso Savoia 210, in Acireale.
The partnership lasted only a short time and, at the beginning of 1985, Sebastiano decided to found a pastry shop together with his younger brother Giacomo (almost 18 years old). Thanks to their professionalism and commitment to quality, the family name soon became a true point of reference for Sicilian pastry tradition.
Thus, Laboratorio Pasticceria Pappalardo Sebastiano e Giacomo s.n.c. was born, still located at Corso Savoia 210.

The craftsmanship of Pasticceria Pappalardo goes far beyond traditional pastries and gelato. Cakes and savory specialties have also become, for many people in Acireale, essential elements for making their celebrations truly special.
Over time, countless customers have begun purchasing and shipping Pappalardo sweets all over the world, choosing a signature dessert that bears the Pappalardo name. Among them are also several well-known personalities, such as Beppe Vessicchio, Ornella Muti, and many others. It is also worth mentioning the many television features dedicated to our craft, broadcast on both local and national networks, including the 2008 Carnival special on RAI 1, aired during the program “Festa Italiana”, hosted at the time by Caterina Balivo.

Success soon followed, with Sebastiano working in the laboratory and Giacomo at the counter, becoming over the years a true point of reference for the city of Acireale and beyond. The enhancement of traditional recipes, the wide variety of products, professionalism, and the quality of raw ingredients represent the true strengths and core values that Pasticceria Pappalardo has always upheld.
In 1999, the premises were renovated: the furnishings and layout were renewed, and although the space remained small, it became even more pleasant and welcoming. Inside, one can feel a traditional atmosphere that over the years has been appreciated and admired by both locals and tourists.

A very important milestone was Sebastiano’s retirement, a man who dedicated his life to this craft and passed it on to his brother and nephews, turning this profession into a true family treasure.
In June 2021, building on the roots of Laboratorio Pasticceria Pappalardo Sebastiano e Giacomo s.n.c., Pasticceria Giacomo Pappalardo s.r.l. was established.
Giacomo represents a legacy rich in experience and passion, which he now carries forward together with his sons Daniele and Carmelo and his wife Rosaria. Care, combined with meticulous research into the finest raw ingredients and continuous product refinement—from flavor to visual presentation—has always been what sets Pasticceria Pappalardo apart.
