WHO WE ARE

Our story began way back on November 24, 1984 , when Sebastiano Pappalardo (then 32 years old), after years of experience and passion in the Sicilian confectionery sector, opened a small pastry shop in partnership with a well-known pastry chef from Acireale at Corso Savoia, 210. of Acireale. The company did not last long and at the beginning of 1985 , Sebastiano, together with his younger brother Giacomo, decided to found (almost 18 years old) a pastry shop, which, thanks to professionalism and quality, could make the family name a true benchmark for Sicilian confectionery tradition. Laboratorio Pasticceria Pappalardo is born. Sebastiano e Giacomo snc , with headquarters always at Corso Savoia, 210.

Success was imminent; Sebastiano in the lab and Giacomo at the counter, over the years, became a true benchmark for the city of Acireale and beyond. The emphasis on traditional recipes, the variety of products , professionalism , and quality of ingredients are the true strengths and fundamentals that Pasticceria Pappalardo has never stopped cultivating.
In 1999 , the restaurant was renovated , with new furnishings and a new space. Although small, it's now more pleasant and welcoming. Inside, there's a traditional atmosphere that many locals and tourists have come to appreciate and admire over the years.

The work of the Pappalardo Pastry Shop does not stop only at the typical dessert or ice cream shop, but also at the cakes and hot food. For many people in Acese, they become essential ingredients to make their ceremonies perfect.
Over time, countless people have purchased and shipped sweet Pappalardo gifts all over the world. Among them are some notable figures , such as Beppe Vessicchio, Ornella Muti, and many others.
Also worth mentioning are the many reports dedicated to our art on local and national TV, such as the one on Carnival 2008 on RAI 1 ( click here to see the video ), in the program “Festa Italiana”, hosted at the time by Caterina Balivo.

A very important event is the retirement of Sebastiano , a man who has made this art, passed on to his brother and nephews, a true family jewel.
In June 2021 , from the roots of Laboratorio Pasticceria Pappalardo Sebastiano e Giacomo snc, Pasticceria Giacomo Pappalardo srl was born .
Giacomo represents a legacy brimming with experience and passion, which he carries forward with his sons Daniele and Carmelo and his wife Rosaria . Care, combined with a meticulous search for quality raw materials and product perfection, from taste to image, have always distinguished Pasticceria Pappalardo.
